Programs

Sound Regeneration:
Funded by Arts Victoria in 2010, this 2 term project at Yea High School was a collaboration between students, teachers and professional musicians from MusoMagic to create a repertoire of original songs and videoclips in differing styles that culminated in a concert for the Yea and Kinglake communities.

MusoMagic artists visited the school weekly to deliver a series of workshops covering many aspects of contemporary music-making including composition, production, event management, software skill development, creative writing, filmmaking, visual art and stagecraft.

Red Magic:
In Feb 2011, MusoMagic partnered with Red Stitch Actors Theatre and the Joint Councils Access for All Abilities (JCAAA) to deliver a drama and music program for young people aged 13 to 17 years with a disability.

The program involved the participants writing an original song, filming a clip and taking part in a documentary capturing the process. Spanning over two terms, the Red Magic program culminated with a screening of the videoclip and documentary at the Astor Theatre St Kilda, on Monday 27th June. The evening was a huge success, with the Red Magic participants sharing their brilliant achievements with family and friends, feeling like superstars as they strode the red carpet into the Astor Theatre amidst flashing cameras and cheering fans.
